Elise Downing
  1. Name: Elise
  2. Sport: Running/occasional cycling
  3. Profession: Adventurer

Elise has a special story to tell she decided that she would run around the UK coastline, all..

'5000 miles, 301 days, 7 pairs of trainers and approximately 987 slices of cake later'

Elise had an idea that turned into an amazing adventure, which got me wanting to do more. I feel like a lot of people (especially in London) get stuck in a rut of repetitive motion disorder, go to work, sit at a desk, leave work, sit on a sofa. I don't want this, I want adventure and excitement to be able to remember my twenties (mainly because I have a terrible memory). Personally I think sport can play a really active role in starting this adventure process, and by adventure I don't mean scaling a mountain or diving to the depths of the sea it can be as easy as cycling to a place you've never been before.

Alastair Humphreys wrote the book Microadventures to inspire people to get out and do more,

'A microadventure is an adventure that is short, simple, local, cheap – yet still fun, exciting, challenging, refreshing and rewarding.'

So you heard the man and woman (seen as I was suppose to be talking about Elise but I got slightly side tracked), go outside, go do and move more!

P.s a special thank you to Elise for allowing me to photograph her beautiful face.
